People:

Maja Göpel is the founder of Mission Wertvoll and Managing Director of Global Eco Transition gGmbH. She has worked for 25 years as a political economist, transformation expert and sustainability scientist at the interface of science, politics and society. In her career, she has combined academic work with social engagement and has found her passion in science communication. She has received numerous awards for her work and was appointed honorary professor at the University of Lüneburg in 2019. www.maja-goepel.de

David Wortmann is Managing Director of Global Eco Transition gGmbH. He is also the founder and managing director of DWR Eco, a consulting agency specialising in cleantech; co-founder and board member of Leaders for Climate Action; and venture partner and investor at Proptech 1 and Planet A. He hosts a regular podcast, is a jury member for various start-up awards and supports cleantech start-ups as a mentor, board member and investor.

Lars Jessen is the founder of Superredaktion and co-founder at Planet Narratives. He mainly works as a director, scriptwriter and producer for film and television. Lars Jessen has received numerous awards for his work, including the German Television Award and the Grimme Preis.

Nicole Zabel-Wasmuth is co-founder and project lead at Planet Narratives. She holds a doctorate in law with a focus on commercial, environmental, film and media law and worked as legal counsel at UFA until the beginning of 2024.

Jan Scheper is Chief Operating Officer at Mission Wertvoll. He previously held management positions at the sustainable business magazine Good Impact (enorm Magazin until the end of 2022), tageszeitung and Berliner Zeitung. In 2022, he was named a national ambassador for solution-oriented journalism by the European Journalism Centre and initiated the 2023 Conference for Constructive Journalism.

Johannes Zieseniß is a scientific advisor to Mission Wertvoll. As a social scientist, he has worked in various contexts on the topics of transformation, economics and ecology, most recently at the New Institute in Hamburg. He holds a Master’s degree in Politics, Economics and Philosophy from the University of Hamburg.

Friederike Rosch is responsible for organisation and community at Mission Wertvoll. She has gained extensive experience in various positions at the interface between science and project management, most recently as project manager and assistant to the workshop manager at the sculpture workshop at the bbk’s kulturwerk in Berlin. She holds a degree in Journalism and Communication Studies and English Philology from the Free University of Berlin.

Nico Czaja has been head of the Superredaktion editorial team since 2023. After completing his degree in social anthropology, he worked as a freelance author, editor and translator, developed augmented reality audio plays and taught interactive storytelling.
